The Challenge:

The Risk Collective team were initially engaged by a recruitment and staffing agency working in the white collar construction industry to review and audit their current workplace health and safety system. While their system was compliant with legal requirements, it was found to be impractical for the day-to-day operation of the business.

The Solution:

Working collaboratively over three years, the Risk Collective team:

  • Delivered due diligence training to the senior leadership team

  • Created a comprehensive, compliant and practical strategy to manage on-hire risk

  • Developed the processes and systems to ensure the strategy was implemented effectively

  • Worked with the organisation’s Work Health and Safety Administrator, a new hire that was made after consulting with the Risk Collective team and identifying the need for an dedicated internal resource, to ensure the implementation took place

  • Reviewed and optimised operations and continuously improved systems over 18 months as the business grew and evolved 

  • Provided ongoing refresher training and support to the entire organisation.

The Result:

Through this comprehensive program of work, the Risk Collective team and the organisation created a workplace health and safety system that was a better fit for the risk appetite and practical needs of the organisation. Using a deeply consultative and collaborative approach, the Risk Collective team improved the workplace culture and embedded a health and safety focus in all levels of the organisation.
